A National Women’s Volleyball Team defeated Ukraine 3-0 in the second match of 2021 CEV Women’s European Championship Group D.
The national team, which started the game well in the BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, won the first set 25-14 and took the lead 1-0.
Influencing Eda Erdem Dündar and Ebrar Karakurt’s points in the second set, Turkey won 25-19, bringing the situation to 2-0.
The national team won the third set 26-24, in which they stood out with the number of blocks and went head-to-head, and the match 3-0.
“Sultans of the Net” finished two in two in the championship organized jointly by Serbia, Romania, Croatia and Bulgaria. Crescent-Stars will face Sweden in the third match of the group on Sunday, August 22.

On the other hand, Croatian Ksenija Jurkovic, the 1st referee, fell ill in the second set and the match was suspended for a while. Jurovic, who lost consciousness in a very short time and was treated by team doctors on the field, could not continue the match after he regained consciousness. For the remainder of the match, the second referee, German Sabine Witte, assumed the role of the head referee.
